Kweku Poku Agyemang was born in Obuasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana where he started his basic education. He moved on to Obuasi Secondary Technical School and Kumasi Technical Institute respectively in the late 90s for his secondary education where he discovered his passion for music and radio presentation.
Prior to his active life as a radio host, Kweku had already positioned himself among the top event MCs in the Ashanti region opening up the stage for the likes of Reggie Rockstone, Osman Kweku, Nash Towa, Okyeame Kwame, Obrafuor and Lord Kenya.
Lyon King of the Jungle, as he is popularly known has studied under radio top dawgs like Alook33, DJ Apuzo, Bob Seagal, Sam Darkus aka Magic Sam, and a host of radio veterans who have made their mark in the Ghana radio landscape.
Kweku Opoku Agyemang currently holds the office of programs manager at Trinity FM, and the undefeated drive time host on Fact FM both in Bogoso, Western Region where he has worked for the past four years.
Lyon King emerged as the best drive time show host of the year at the erstwhile Foklex Media Awards held at Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi. Kweku has apparently been nominated in the same category for the upcoming Foklex Media Awards to be held at the Ghana National Theatre in January.
Kweku Poku Agyemang is happily married and a father of two. He is a very open minded person and very committed to his profession.
