This year's Mother's Day was one of the best days for some people with mobility challenges in the Adzokoe area in the Volta Region of Ghana.
Dr. Wanda, Mr. Godsway (who roped in the Free Wheelchair Mission), together with BENEMEF Foundation's Benjamin Opare (CEO) donated wheel chairs to the Adzokoe Health Centre to support some aged people with mobility challenges in the area.
A slope ramp was constructed at the entrance to the health centre to enable people with wheelchairs to have direct access to the the premises.
This gesture of love and compassion was greatly appreciated by the beneficiaries, who could not have words to express their joy and gratitude for the support.
Dr Wanda went ahead with the team to commission a completed toilet project for homes that could not afford, a separate project targeted at the eradication of open deification in the community. Toilet kits were also given out for free to encourage people to use the newly constructed biodigestor toilets.
On Pan African TV last Wednesday, Dr. Wanda stated in an interview that, She is happy to support Ghanaian communities through her collaboration with BENEMEF FOUNDATION, and called on philanthropists and other organisations in and outside Ghana to support these activities.
