MARTHA SCOTT - THE NEW JOY OF CENTRAL RADIO

Things are already getting better on radio in the central region of Ghana with the advent of young and energetic radio broadcasters. Last weekend, our team followed the Kantinka Fm Apai Tour 2015 from Agona Swedru through Agona Nsabaa to Agona Nyarkrom where the manager of Kantinka Fm Williams Yeboah hosted a night long rap concert which featured popular rappers like Sesse Dòr, Asante Clickwise, Sticker Gh, Patapaa, and other Mcees.

During the tour, our team looked out for young radio talents and the nature of their responsibilities. Red Paper Online came across a radio news caster who was the major reader on the Kantinka Fm morning show hosted by Ansa Sasraku.

Martha Scott, the cute and brilliant young radio star captured the attention of our news team after Martha was heard delivering to her listeners the best news one can find in the central region.
An immediate survey was conducted around the Swedru township regarding her performance on Kantinka Fm for the past six months. It was revealed that, Martha Scott had a v.i.p range of listeners as well as common radio fanatics. Many who granted a vox pop section with our team, emphasized that, a young talent like Martha deserved a bigger and better platform in order to be of good use to the nation.

In a private interview, Martha Scott disclosed that, her passion for radio is inevitable. She also disclosed that, her journey through the media has been a smooth and inspirational one during her tenure at Katinka Fm. Many listeners commended her for her authentic stories and very fluent deliveries on the morning show, while others prayed that Martha could get the opportunity to work with classic radio stations like City Fm and Joy Fm. She related that her job at kantinka has been motivated by Ansa Sasraku, Oppong Kyekyeku, and Williams Yeboah who have been of tremendous support to her talent.
