Profile of Nana Assiama Guahyia Ababio

Born on 25th March, 1928, at Abedwim in the Ashanti region of Ghana, Nana Assiama Guahyia Ababio also known as Nana George Bright Abu, a product of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) kumasi has held various public service positions in Ghana as follows:

A) Experience :

i) Stool Treasury Clerk - Edubiase Native Authority - 1951 - 1952
ii) Clerk of Council - Edubiase Local Council 1952 - 1956, He spearheaded the move from old Edubiase to New Edubiase in 1954
iii) Corporation Secretary - Ghana Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Head Office Accra 1956-1961
iv) Chief Internal Auditor  - State Construction Corporation, Head Office Accra 1961-1962
v) Mines Secretary Ariston Gold Mines Ltd. (Prestea Goldfields Ltd) and Tarkwa Goldfields Ltd, 1962-1965
vi) Administrative Secretary - Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana, Akim Tafo 1965-1970

Nana Assiama Guahyia Ababio joined his ancestors on 23rd November 2014 at Kumasi. May His Glorious soul Rest in Eternal Peace, and may his memory live forever.
