Tallest Man in Ghana Gets Customized Washroom - A DrWanda And Benemef Foundation Project

In late June, Benemef Foundation received a special request for the construction of a home toilet from a 29 year old, 9ft 6inch Ghanaian living in the North East Region of Ghana in a village named Gambaga.

His name is Sulemana Abdul Samed. He is recorded as the Tallest Man In Ghana.
Awuche as he’s affectionately called learned that home toilet construction was occurring as the result of the partnership between DrWanda and Benjamin Opare, (Benjamin is also Environmental health Officer and the CEO of benemef foundation).

The pair effectively fundraised to supplement the GAMA project which has resulted in as many as 57 home toilets being actively constructed.
Unfortunately, Awuche resides outside of Greater Accra, this made him ineligible for the GAMA program. DrWanda and Benjamin Opare viewed Awuche as not only a special case, due to his 9ft 6in stature but also as a National Treasure thus, the pair determined to fundraise to have a customized toilet built especially for him.

Fundraising $1000 US to cover the total cost, and using contractors from Gambaga resulted in ONE WEEK, Sulemana Abdul Samed, The Tallest Man in Ghana, Our Gentle Giant had a Home Toilet...

Recently, Benjamin Opare, and DrWanda charted a flight to Gambaga Ghana to meet, to greet and to celebrate.
All were ecstatic and DrWanda expressed extra gratitude to the donors. Reminding them that together we lifted Awuche’s humanity. The experience confirmed what Benjamin Opare commonly quotes “ Toilets are a need not a want”
